About

Introduction

Lighting Design is a great synergy between the arts and sciences, between the creative and the technical; it embodies both the practical and the sublime. Architecture is an ideal canvas for light, maximizing the ability to reveal, shape and enhance space and form. We revere light and we strive to create with it passionately.

Design Philosophy

As much as lighting design is about technical considerations: footcandles, lumens, photometry, etc. – it is much more about emotion: How people feel in a space, how they react to their environment, and what inspires them. Our goal is to design creative lighting solutions that will positively impact the people who interact with them. We want to share our talent and zeal for light by creating innovative and functional designs in collaboration with the architectural design community.

We honor the fact that lighting is a fusion of art and science and a balance of creative and practical considerations. We enjoy exchanging ideas with teams of designers: architects, engineers, consultants, interior designers, etc. with each specialization creating something that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Our principal objective is to ensure our clients are consistently satisfied with both the quality and level of service that we provide. We aim to build long term client relationships.

Architectural lighting is not strictly visual design. Aesthetics are important, but so is the budget, so is the project schedule. Our lighting design practice strives to maintain the balances between performance and energy use, aesthetics and cost, design goals and maintenance, while always keeping an eye on sustainability.
